Oral Presenters

The Technical Committee has determined 15-minute slots for each oral presentation, consisting of 12 minutes for remarks followed by 3 minutes for audience questions. Please check the conference schedule  for your presentation date and time. All oral presentations will be livestreamed on the virtual conference platform.

In addition to the required technical paper and signed copyright agreement, please note the following requirements:

In-Person Attendance Requirement

Presentations will be livestreamed to the virtual conference platform and mobile app. All oral presenters must present in-person. Pre-recorded oral presentations are not planned at this time. Should the ability to present in-person change, please notify the Conference Organizers at info@amostech.com immediately.

Upload Presentation File by September 12

All presentation files must be submitted by the September 12 Presentation Deadline using the online submission system. The Conference Committee reserves the right to cancel a presentation if not submitted in advance. Session Chairs will have access to presentations assigned to their session to ensure the content presented aligns with the submitted abstract and paper.

  • Format: It is recommended that your presentation be in 16:9 (also known as widescreen) format. Accepted file types include PPT and PDF.
  • Design: Font size should be large for in-person projection and online viewing. Anything smaller than 14px can be difficult to read. Use subsequent slides to “zoom in” on complex figures/images.
  • Content: Slides marked classified, proprietary, internal use only, etc. will not be accepted.
  • Video: If incorporating video components in your presentation, embedded video is required in order to be included with your file upload. Please bring a copy of your .mp4 or .wmv video file(s) as well as your .ppt or .pdf presentation file for the Tech Team to have on-hand should there be any playback issues. YouTube or internet-hosted videos are not allowed. Marketing-centric/promotional videos will be rejected – video content must focus on the presented research and reported results. Please notify info@amostech.com in advance of the Presentation Deadline if your presentation includes video content.

In-person Oral Presentation

Your 12-minute live briefing onstage will be followed by 3 minutes of audience questions. Please check the conference agenda for your session’s scheduled date and time. All speakers must check-in with the Tech Team at the Audio/Visual desk in the back of the ballroom at least 20-30 minutes prior to the session start. We recommend that you test your briefing during scheduled breaks. The conference presentations will run on a PC platform. There will be a large countdown clock to help your presentation stay on-time.

Please note that you must notify info@amostech.com in advance of the Presentation Deadline if your presentation includes video content. Please bring a copy of your .mp4 or .wmv video file(s) for the Tech Team to have on-hand as well as a copy of your .ppt or .pdf presentation file should there be any playback issues.

Should your ability to present in-person change, please notify the Conference Organizers immediately.

Virtual Discussion Board (Required)

All presenters are required to access the virtual platform to answer attendee questions on their submission’s Discussion Board during the conference regardless of virtual or in-person acceptance. Registered co-authors are welcome to assist with question fielding. A personalized link to the virtual platform will be provided the week before the conference.

Please note your presentation will be made available to registered attendees for on-demand viewing for 6 months. The Technical Committee asks that you periodically monitor your submission’s Discussion Board for further questions.

Online Office hours (Optional)

Presenters can opt to schedule Office Hours to indicate specific times they are available to interact with attendees by video chat. Attendees will have access to the virtual platform and Poster Hall the week prior and the week of the conference.

You are welcome to schedule your optional Office Hours when convenient for you, with the expectation that a majority of attendees will be online Sep 19-22. The window for Office Hours is Sep 17-23. Please identify and schedule your Office Hours prior to Sep 17 so attendees may plan accordingly.

Office Hour times must be scheduled in Pacific/Honolulu time zone.

To schedule, please log into the submission site, scroll down to your abstract listing, and click the Office Hours button.

Monitoring your submission’s Discussion Board is required while setting Office Hours is optional.
