To celebrate 20 years, the 2019 AMOS Conference will be holding a special dinner celebration on Wednesday, September 18. One of Hawaii’s premier island bands, Kapena, will entertain the guests with their award winning “electrifying” music.
With more than twenty island music CD’s to their credit, the band won four awards at Hawaii’s prestigious Na Hoku Hanohano Awards in May 2018 including Album of the Year and Group of the Year.
“We wanted to do something different to mark this important milestone and incorporate Hawaiian style music into a celebratory evening,” says Leslie Wilkins, President and CEO of Maui Economic Development Board (MEDB), the presenting organization. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to step away from the formal proceedings of the Conference and socialize with the AMOS community in a fun setting.”
The event will be held on the Pacific Terrace Rooftop at the Conference hotel and will include special guest speakers to mark the occasion. Additional ticket purchase is necessary and delegates can add the ticket to their Conference registration to join the fun as they relax, dance and network the night away.
The Advanced Maui Optical and Space Surveillance Technologies (AMOS) Conference is the premier technical conference in the nation devoted to space situational awareness. Held September 17-20, 2019 at the Wailea Beach Resort, the Conference includes Keynote Speakers, Policy Forums, Exhibit Sessions, Technical Short Courses and Networking events.
Other special details are being planned for the week to celebrate the 20-year anniversary. Past AMOS attendees are asked to share their favorite memories of AMOS – stories, photos, memorabilia and memorable moments. Please send to info@amostech.com
