Attendee FAQ


What health and safety protocols will be in place during the conference?

Safety protocols are in line with CDC guidelines, Hawaii State regulations and hotel protocols. Participants are expected to comply with Safe Travel Hawaii guidelines including any pre-travel testing to avoid 10-day quarantine.

Onsite there will be no exhibit hall to help limit gathering in tight places. The ballroom seating will accommodate social distancing; guests will be required to wear masks at all times in public areas and maintain social distancing. Sanitizations stations will be available.

Participants daily participation will be on the agreement that they are not exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 including raised temperature, cough or shortness of breath.

How will I attend virtually? Is it a Zoom meeting?

It is more than a Zoom meeting. A week before the conference you will be given access to the Conference venue which you can access on any device through a browser. Nothing to download! You will be able to navigate to the Live sessions, the pre-recorded Tech Sessions, the Poster Hall, the Exhibit Hall, the Networking lounge and more. Please whitelist and to be sure you receive notification of how to access the venue, as well as other conference related notices.

Will I be able to watch a recording of the presentations if I can’t make it to the live times?

The live stream (or real time) portions of the program will be available on-demand – these include the keynote addresses, SSA Policy Forums and Featured Presentations.


Are the Technical Short Courses in-person or virtual?

Short Courses will be either wholly in-person or wholly virtual. If you are attending AMOS on Maui then you can attend the in-person Short Courses, or participate online in a virtual offering. If you are attending virtually you can only select from the online courses. Short courses will be announced first week of June and can be added to your registration.

Can I participate in more than one short course? Will they be recorded?
You can select one short course from each of the two sessions. Short courses within a session run concurrently and will not be recorded. These are intended to be interactive and must be attended in real time. Course materials will only be shared with registered attendees.


How can I network at the virtual AMOS Conference?

There are a number of ways to network via the conference platform. You can connect with other participants whether they are attending in-person or virtually. 

  • The networking lounge will feature zoom rooms that you can start or join a conversation. There will be rooms based on session topics and more.
  • There will also be a discussion board where you can chat or ask questions. Keep an eye out for Sponsor and Exhibitor announcements here!
  • Plus, you will be able to see other participants profiles (you even get a name badge) and can reach out for 1-on-1 contact.


Can I register after the event has started?

Yes you can however you secure the better rate when you register in advance. The early bird rate ends June 30, and the advanced rate ends September 8. Registering in advance also means you have access to the venue prior to the event to get familiar and to start networking.

How do I change my registration?

You can login to the registration and add short courses to your existing registration. If you need to cancel any items then please contact us.

Our refund policy, also stated on the registration page is: Cancellations prior to August 14, 2021 will receive a full refund less $50 processing fee. No fees will be refunded after this date. There will be no refunds for no-shows. Last day to substitute a registration or change to virtual attendance is September 9, 2021.
