STAYING IN MAUI

How do I book accommodation for the AMOS Conference?

The AMOS Conference contracts a limited block of rooms at the Wailea Beach Resort Marriott. As often happens with large Conferences, it is not feasible to house all participants at a single venue. If rooms are unavailable, please visit https://amostech.com/attendee-info/ for alternate lodging suggestions.

ATTENDING IN-PERSON

What health and safety protocols will be in place during the conference?

Safety protocols are in line with CDC guidelines, Hawaii State regulations and hotel protocols. Participants are expected to comply with Hawaii Tourism Authority guidelines. At this stage of planning, as a further safety precaution for all attendees, EVERYONE will also be asked to show either show a proof of vaccination OR a negative COVID test within 3 days of AMOS/arrival in Maui.

  • Guests will be required to wear masks at all times in indoor venues. We encourage social distancing.
  • Hand Sanitizing Stations will be provided throughout the Meeting Space along with signage promoting social distancing.

Participants daily participation will be on the agreement that they are not exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 including raised temperature, cough or shortness of breath.

What are the requirements for flying to Maui?

Details of flying to Hawaii are updated at Hawaii Tourism Authority with guidelines.

What will the hybrid experience be like?

Presentations will be in the main ballroom, with the plan for 2022 to have all presenters in-person. Virtual attendees will be able to view ‘live’ the Keynotes, Policy Forums and any session marked with an asterisk on the agenda. Other sessions will be pre-recorded and made available on-demand at relevant times in the schedule.

Both in-person and virtual attendees can use the virtual platform to view schedule, access resources, post in the social feed and network (connect, send messages, setup meetings) with each other and with sponsors

VIEWING PRESENTATIONS – VIRTUAL

How will I attend virtually? Is it a Zoom meeting?

It is more than a Zoom meeting. A week before the conference you will be given access to the Conference venue which you can access on any device through a browser. Nothing to download! You will be able to navigate to the Live sessions, the Poster Hall, the Exhibit Hall, the Networking lounge and more. Please whitelist no-reply@xcd.com and info@amostech.com to be sure you receive notification of how to access the venue, as well as other conference related notices.

Why am I having trouble accessing the platform or the sessions once I'm logged in?

The most common issues are a VPN connection that is blocking the application, or type of internet browser you are using. Please temporarily disable your VPN if you are having trouble. In addition, check that your internet browser is up-to-date. Chrome is the preferred internet browser, followed by Firefox and Safari. Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge are not supported.

If you are still having trouble, speak to your IT department about whitelisting these domains.

If you are unable to resolve the issue using these steps, you can live-chat with technical support by clicking on Technical Support from the left-menu during conference hours.

Will I be able to watch a recording of the presentations if I can’t make it to the live times?

This year all sessions, including technical presentations will be live-streamed. Recordings will be available at a later time.

SHORT COURSES

Are the Technical Short Courses in-person or virtual?

Short Courses will be in-person in 2022.

Can I participate in more than one short course? Will they be recorded?

You can select one short course from each of the two sessions. Short courses within a session run concurrently and will not be recorded. These are intended to be interactive and must be attended in real time. Course materials will only be shared with registered attendees.

NETWORKING

How can I network at the virtual AMOS Conference?
