Am I registered if I choose to pay later?

Registration is not confirmed until payment is made. Early bird registrations must be paid by the deadline of June 30. Any registrations that are incomplete (i.e. without payment) will lose the early bird rate.  Details on rates can be found at

Can I register after the event has started?

Yes you can however you secure the better rate when you register in advance. The early bird rate ends June 30, and the advanced rate ends September 22. Registering in advance also means you have access to the venue when it opens September 21 to get familiar and to start networking.

Are seats limited? Can I register days before the conference or onsite?
There is no cut-off of registration. While we anticipate record attendance at the 23rd annual AMOS Conference and expect that may result in the main meeting room being at capacity during select sessions or times of day, attendees will have access to all presentations via a livestream to either an overflow room or to our virtual conference platform. Conference registration also includes access to important networking opportunities–breakfast, lunch and networking functions–which we know from experience our audience find to be of great value.
How do I change my registration?

You can login to the registration and add short courses to your existing registration. You can also unselect items and change registration type eg in-person to virtual.

If a refund is due for switching to virtual, or you wish to transfer registration please contact us.

I can no longer attend. How do I cancel my registration? What is the refund policy?

If you need to cancel please contact us.

Cancellations prior to August 24, 2022 will receive a full refund less $50 processing fee. No fees will be refunded after this date or for no-shows. Last day to substitute a registration, or transfer to a virtual registration is September 16, 2022.


How do I book accommodation for the AMOS Conference?

The AMOS Conference contracts a limited block of rooms at the Wailea Beach Resort Marriott. As often happens with large Conferences, it is not feasible to house all participants at a single venue. If rooms are unavailable, please visit for alternate lodging suggestions.

Why can't I get a room at the Conference hotel?

As often happens with large Conferences, it is not feasible to house all participants at a single venue. With increased demand on the block through working with stakeholders, distinguished visitors, and those in conference leadership and key presenting roles; the limited block has been exhausted.  Please visit for alternate lodging suggestions including condo options in Wailea and Kihei.


What health and safety protocols will be in place during the conference?
  • Safety protocols are based on the prevailing CDC guidelines, Hawaii State regulations and hotel protocols, reflecting that they will be assessed and updated as required. Participants are expected to comply with Hawaii Tourism Authority guidelines.
  • At this stage of planning, as a further safety precaution for all attendees, guests will be encouraged to wear masks at all times in indoor venues. We encourage social distancing.
  • Hand Sanitizing Stations will be provided throughout the Meeting Space along with signage promoting social distancing.

Participants’ daily participation will be on the agreement that they are not exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 including raised temperature, cough or shortness of breath.

What are the requirements for flying to Maui?

Details of flying to Hawaii are updated at Hawaii Tourism Authority with guidelines.

What will the hybrid experience be like?

Presentations will be in the main ballroom, with the plan for 2022 to have all presenters in-person. Virtual attendees will be able to view ‘live’ the Keynotes, Policy Forums and any session marked with an asterisk on the agenda. Other sessions will be pre-recorded and made available on-demand at relevant times in the schedule.

Both in-person and virtual attendees can use the virtual platform to view schedule, access resources, post in the social feed and network (connect, send messages, setup meetings) with each other and with sponsors


How will I attend virtually? Is it a Zoom meeting?

It is more than a Zoom meeting. A week before the conference you will be given access to the Conference venue which you can access on any device through a browser. Nothing to download! You will be able to navigate to the Live sessions, the Poster Hall, the Exhibit Hall, the Networking lounge and more. Please whitelist and to be sure you receive notification of how to access the venue, as well as other conference related notices.

Why am I having trouble accessing the platform or the sessions once I'm logged in?

The most common issues are a VPN connection that is blocking the application, or type of internet browser you are using. Please temporarily disable your VPN if you are having trouble. In addition, check that your internet browser is up-to-date. Chrome is the preferred internet browser, followed by Firefox and Safari. Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge are not supported.

If you are still having trouble, speak to your IT department about whitelisting these domains.

Will I be able to watch a recording of the presentations if I can’t make it to the live times?

This year all sessions, including technical presentations will be live-streamed. Recordings will be available at a later time.


Are the Technical Short Courses in-person or virtual?

Short Courses will be announced week of June 20 and include both in-person and virtual options. Virtual courses will be held Monday Sept 26 and in-person courses will be held onsite Tues Sept 27.

Are the Technical Short Courses included in my registration? Is there an additional fee?

Short Courses are an optional extra to registration of the AMOS Conference. Pricing for 2022 is $95 per course – learn more about registration fees

Can I participate in more than one short course? Will they be recorded?

You can select one short course from each of the two sessions. Short courses within a session run concurrently and will not be recorded. These are intended to be interactive and must be attended in real time. Course materials will only be shared with registered attendees.


How can I network at the virtual AMOS Conference?

There are a number of ways to network via the conference platform. You can connect with other participants whether they are attending in-person or virtually.

  • The networking lounge will feature zoom rooms that you can start or join a conversation. There will be rooms based on session topics and more.
  • There will also be a discussion board where you can chat or ask questions. Keep an eye out for Sponsor and Exhibitor announcements here!
  • Plus, you will be able to see other participants profiles (you even get a name badge) and can reach out for 1-on-1 contact.
