The 13th annual AMOS Conference welcomed 300 middle school students to Space in the Classroom. The day featured an “Audience with an Astronaut” with astronaut Dr. Leroy Chiao, hands-on space-related science experiments and a visit with industry leaders in the AMOS Exhibit Center, as well as a full-day workshop for 30 teachers. Space in the Classroom is co-presented by the Space Foundation with support from Analytical Graphics, Inc., the Air Force Research Laboratory, Boeing, Institute for Astronomy, University of Hawai‘i, Lockheed Martin, Maui High Performance Computing Center, Orbital Sciences Corporation, and Pacific Defense Solutions.
