Publication in the Journal of Astronautical Sciences
The AMOS Conference, in conjunction with the American Astronautical Society, is delighted to provide participating authors the opportunity to be published in a peer-reviewed journal.
The Journal of the Astronautical Sciences is an archival publication devoted to the sciences and technology of astronautics. Articles are published which present significant new results, important insights, or state of the art surveys in all areas of astrodynamics, celestial mechanics, atmospheric flight mechanics, navigation and guidance, and space related sciences. Authors are encouraged to submit papers on attitude dynamics, orbit determination, trajectory optimization, space mission analysis, numerical methods, maneuvering flight vehicles, dynamics and control of large flexible space structures, and space sciences related to new astronautical systems and their applications.

Invitations for Peer Review and Publication
All authors are required to contribute high quality technical papers for oral and poster presentations at the AMOS Conference. Guest editors will invite select AMOS papers for the peer review process based on input and recommendations from the AMOS Conference Technical Committee, AMOS Session Co-chairs and the AAS Space Surveillance Committee. These papers are invited based on a technical review for their novel contribution to the state-of-the art in Space Situational Awareness (SSA), high quality of scholarship, potential for innovation and leadership, and/or if the paper shows promise for a change of direction in the way that stakeholders in the SSA community could improve their understanding of the situation in space. Detailed and comprehensive research which merits visibility by an international journal is desired. Papers that are an incremental improvement on existing work (conference or journal publications) are generally not invited for peer review.
All authors’ required Conference papers are reviewed and considered for invitation for the peer review process. Technical papers not selected for journal publication will be published in the AMOS Conference Technical Papers Online Library at amostech.com as resources for the SSA community.
Invitations to be peer-reviewed and considered for publication in a special AMOS Conference issue of the Journal of Astronautical Sciences will be extended upon conclusion of the Conference.
2024 Papers under review. Invitations to be sent by mid-November.
