A-Tech Corporation, d.b.a. Applied Technology Associates (ATA), in business since 1975, is a small business located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. ATA is a precision measurement, sensing and controls company providing services and products to government and commercial customers. ATA provides award winning engineering services, technology development and integration, and test support to military and industrial customers. ATA expanded its facilities to include manufacturing, laboratory and high-bay space to help keep up with our growing products and services base. ATA is also the managing partner of two separate Joint Venture entities, namely ATAMIR WSMR and ATA Aerospace.
R&D Services – From its inception, ATA has worked at the customer site with the local Air Force Research Laboratory directorates in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), space control, guidance and navigation, sensor and system integration and test R&D programs. In these programs ATA has and continues to support instrument development, field and laboratory measurements, data analysis and interpretation, modeling and simulation, and signature phenomenology research.
Sensors and Test & Evaluation – Over the course of four decades, ATA has developed and applied processes and procedures to develop and test new technologies that enable extremely high-performance solutions. These technologies include its unique, patented Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) angular rate sensors (ARS) capable of measuring angular vibration down to tens of nanoradians, patented optical inertial reference units that provide the collimated ultra-stable laser beam used as a reference for stabilizing the line-of-sight, inertially-stabilized platforms, and fast steering mirrors for multiple functions including jitter rejection. In the past five years, ATA has delivered several integrated sensor packages including space-qualified rate sensing packages and actuators, two large and two small fast steering mirrors for airborne systems, and five operational fast steering mirrors for terrestrial applications. ATA’s ability to design and implement robust, highly sophisticated control systems allows ATA to pull together these technologies into integrated subsystems and systems. In addition, ATA is an established leader in characterization of ultra-high-precision systems. ATA has developed an arsenal of test capabilities and continues to build facilities that support subsystem and system level qualification and performance evaluation. These capabilities include optical scoring under inertial motion, environmental tests, as well as associated specialized test equipment, instrumentation, data acquisition and advanced analysis.
